A century-old slate roof that had reached the end of its life — slipped slates on every elevation, failed ridge mortar and daylight visible through the sarking. The customer had been patching leaks for two winters before calling us.
Work carried out
- Full strip back to rafters, sarking replaced where rotten
- Breathable membrane and new treated battens throughout
- Re-slated in matched natural slate, salvaging sound originals
- New lead flashings to chimney, valleys and abutments
- Ridge, verge and stack fully repointed as standard
